Merry Christmas...

I just wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. I hope that Santa is able to bring you all that you want on your list, I hope you get to spend time with family and friends, and most importantly I hope you remember the Reason of the Season and take time to remember Christ and all he did for us! MERRY CHRISTMAS

The Twelve Days of Christmas...

Most of you have heard me rant about how poor we are this year, like most college student families. The kids of course will be well taken care of, but I just kept thinking about Erik and how I wanted to do something special for him since he works so hard, and gives so much up to make our life better. I was driving home from Ogden thinking about just this when the 12 days of Christmas came on the radio and I thought I could do this so cheap. I am starting on the 14th so it will end on Christmas. The week I start will be finals so I really tried to come up with things he could take to school with him and that won't annoy him (he gets a little annoyed when he's stressed out). Here's what I got.....

On the ____ day of Christmas your true love gave to you....
1. A Partridge in a Pear Tree...
Well, a pear picked by me
and bought as a grocery.

2. Two Turtle Doves...
How about two bars of Dove
And a rubber turtle that can join in the tub.

3. Three French Hens...
It was a little pricey to have French Hens sent
So this American chicken wrap was made for your eating enjoyment.

4. Four Calling Birds...
Those four birds flew south it's true
But they left some messages for you...
(I don't think he would like if I shared those but I just wrote him four notes that were sweet)

5. Five Golden Rings..
Apparently I lose bagels just like a certain ring
I hope you enjoy one bagel... at least it's multi-grain!
(If you don't know I lost my wedding ring a couple years ago.)

6. Six Geese a Laying...
Those geese left their eggs just for the taking
So for your breakfast a six egg skillet I am making.

7. Seven Swans a Swimming...
Look closely on the origami swans' wings
They'll get you out of seven diaper changings.

8. Eight Maids a Milking....
Maids don't really milk anymore
Here's your very own gallon bought at the store.

9. Nine Ladies Dancing....
Yeah like I'm going to let you watch nine chicks dance
How about some Pirouette cookies that might make you prance.

10. Ten Lords a Leaping...
I know you don't want to watch ten guys leap
So here's the underwear you desperately need.

11. Eleven Pipers Piping
That sounds loud and very annoying
Instead I made you "piping" hot coffee to get your morning going.
(you could do hot chocolate if you aren't a coffee addict like we are)

12. Twelve Drummers Drumming....
This cd was made with love
there's twelve songs that all have the drums.

I'll let you know how things go. Hopefully he likes it.
MERRY CHRISTMAS

SHE'S HERE!!!

Brittany and Oren had there new baby girl early this afternoon (Tuesday October 27, 2009)  She weighed in at 7 lbs. 1 oz. and 19 3/4" long.  She is seriously the most beautiful newborn I have ever seen!  We are so excited to add her as a niece/cousin to the family.  CONGRATS STOCKS FAMILY!!!! P. S. we are still waiting on the name.

notice the bracelet her mommy made...girls get all the accessories
Don't we all wish we could look this gorgeous after having a baby?

Love those little feet!!!
Proud uncle

She has so much hair
We are missing two in the family picture since no one under 14 can come in the hospital.   However, Lizzy and Calvin did come to the window to see their new baby sister and hopefully tomorrow they can take the baby home where they will get to hold her at last.

Pumpkins!!!!

the four vampire jack o' lanterns
Brakken dug right in and loved it
We forced Ryker to put his hand in the pumpkin, he took it out and said "wash my hands" as he ran to the bathroom HEHEHE

Now that it's finished Ryker likes it

Mommy's Birthday

 Snow is coming!!!
                                                              My FAVORITE guys

I hope it doesn't seem narcissistic to post my own birthday but if I don't no one will and it was such a good day.  Erik made me waffles with whipped cream and strawberries. Then we drove through the canyon so I could finally see some leaves.  We ended up in Park City where we went on the Alpine Slide, which was really fun other than the slow family that we ended up catching up to even though we gave them over a five minute head start.  That night Erik and I actually went on a date (this only happens for birthdays and our anniversary) It was nice to have alone time with the guy I love so much.  Ending with cheesecake, Missy Sorenson's recipe, delicious!!!!!  My boys did such a great job making me feel special and putting together a good day....

Ryker's Bday Pics

OOPS did this backwards....sorry it's been a while.

Liberty Park has this awesome fountain/ wading pool area that Ryker LOVES so we went there, unfortunately it was closed that day so it wasn't flowing just a little stagnant water at one end.  Eventually we worked our way over to the splash pad on the other side of the park.

I am not an artist so this is the best Lightning McQeen cake I could do...
Brakken found the cake I was cooling..it made for a stressful morning
Ryker's new bike....He loves this thing

HAPPY Belated BIRTHDAY RYKER!!!

I can't put this off any longer, but pictures will have to come later since I can't find the cord to download from the camera.  On September 12th Ryker turned two years old!  He is officially a toddler which means I officially no longer have a baby in my house.  We had a quiet day, since it wasn't a party year, but he played with Hudsie, (Hudson) his favorite cousin, went to the park, and got a new bike that he rides all day every day.  He seemed to enjoy all the attention and the fact that we didn't make him share for one day.  I can't believe how one number makes him just seem bigger.  He seems to act and look like a toddler now and not that baby I was able to cuddle and coddle for the last little bit.  He adds to our home so much with his laugh, his smile, and even his tantrums.  We love him so much!  Happy Birthday Booger!

THREE YEARS AND STILL GOING STRONG!

Today is Erik's and I third anniversary.  It feels so good to know that I have found the right person to spend this life with.  We have definitely been through our share of stresses and trials already, but we always prevail ending up stronger and closer.   Here's to the next three plus the 80 more still to come.  Happy Anniversary Erik, I love you!

HoPpY eAsTeR

This year was the best so far because Brakken was so excited about everything we did.  Saturday the fun began with an Easter egg hunt at Grandma Herman's with all the cousins.  We love this hunt because we make all the kids split the candy evenly at the end so there are no hurt feelings.

This is how Brakken began carrying his basket around his neck...very clever.
The basket became too heavy so he told me to hold it, he would run off and come back with tons of loot.  This is my favorite picture of that day because he is running and smiling which is all I saw him doing while there.
Ryker stopped after three eggs and just wanted to eat his candy.  I love it.
Then we frosted some delicious cookies.
Here are the cute boys on Easter, I think I shouldn't have let them have their baskets for this because I couldn't get them to look at anything else but the candy.  This was before we went to Nicole's(my sister) house for a yummy dinner and some more family fun.  They didn't look to cute after all the rough housing those eight, boy cousins do together, but they both were happy which is all I could really ask for.

photo tag

So rules are rules and I try not to break them, sometimes it is more fun to though.  This time I obeyed this is the sixth picture from the sixth folder.  It is me scurrying to do Mickayla's hair before my wedding, while Britt is giving Alex a trim.  I don't look to awesome with the baby weight still there and my great outfit, but at least I like my hair that Shantelle Fausette did for me.  Ironically, Erik and I will be celebrating our third anniversary at the end of this month so it was fun to see this and remember that day.

I tag Nicole, Missy, and Brittany.  Just go to my photos the sixth file and the sixth picture and then blog about it.  Have fun taking a little trip back!

Happy Birthday Brakken!

Yay! Brakken just celebrated his golden birthday 3 years on the 3rd of March.  It was one of the first beautiful sunny days of the year, just like the day he was born.  He apparently brings as much light into the world  as he does in our lives.  We love you Brakken Happy Birthday BUDDY! Christmas in Montana...

This year we were able to shake things up and go to Montana for Chrismas. It was exactly what Erik and I were hoping for. Lots of fun, lots of rest, and lots of love! This is Christmas Eve, where we read the Sorenson traditional story (short version thanks Brit) , opened pjs (Erik and Alex got the same ones and that was not planned by Missy and I!) and then let the sugar rush make us.... well me... a little crazy
